Wordless Wednesday (Well, almost…)

Okay, who thought of these? I have no use for fake plants! I saw these at a local store today and was disgusted. So much for being wordless…..
So you don’t have a lot of sun or windows. There are plants for every situation except complete darkness. And there are ways to enhance your light source. Paint your walls a light color. Hang a mirror across from the window to help reflect light. Add artificial lights to a dark corner. But for the love of all things holy, please do NOT add fake, plastic, tacky plants! Rant over.

They have their place. But like we said in our book, if you HAVE to do this, for heaven’s sake, pay good money for good quality ones. I prefer real plants too, of course, but there really are situations where a good reproduction works well.

If you really need a plant in a certain spot, there is no reason you couldn’t put a low light plant there. When it starts looking unhappy you could swap it out with another plant and place it in a higher light situation to recover. The benefits of the real plant cannot be overlooked.
